Another of the many Hydro schemes in the Highlands,Dundreggan Dam was built in the 1950s. It is a gravity dam, not huge at 55' high, and 400' long. It feeds glenmoriston power station, which is underground, 300' below the dam.

The approach :

A nice wee jaunt, and for all the WW2 fans, there was this remnant of a tank-trap at the road leading to the dam :)

I'm getting into this Hydro malarkey :)

If I was 10 years younger I'd use the word 'epic' to describe those big gates!

Impressive site.

Awesome pictures, How long did you spend nosing around? I know you mentioned it wasn't huge but still 55" by 400" gives you plenty of stuff to sconse around.
