Hi All
It`s been a wile.
Flusco-Lodge Limestone quarry is located along side the A66 in Cumbria, as I was on my way to the Lakes to photograph jets for the week it would of been
rude not to pop in and have a look, there are plenty of surface building still onsite.

Flusco Lodge Limestone Quarry seems to have been operated on a small scale from the 1920s, but it does not seem to be until the 1950s that the four pot kiln
was erected in concrete. It is unusually faced with concrete bricks. Map evidence suggests that it went out of use in the 1970s or early 1980s.
Picture time..........
Looking at the pot kiln structure.
Under and inside this there is still lime leaching out and forming great piles of nastiness
Inside and under the roof of doom
Right that will do for now, thanks for looking and all comments are most welcome, there are a few more
pictures on my FlickR site so if you want more head on over to:-
