Forgive me for my old habits of not posting locations. Not that anyone would want the location of this "gem".
Located in the city centre I frequent, myself and Rasputins Pool cleaner went out for a leisurely coffee and shop to find this enroute from/to our parking.
We had no intention of exploring, but an open gate simply says come in, despite the Danger Demolition and CCTV signs.
This was a strange find, a modern (5 year old? ) hotel/apartment block being demolished Wtf.
We ignored it after a casual peek at a pile of rubble beyond the gates.
Returning to the car a few hours later and we couldn't let it lie, could we?.
So in we went and yes, like any apartment block a maze, we entered thru the two enormous gates and on thru the fire door into the main building to avoid an enormous pile of scrap metal.
A pretty unremarkable building modern, stripped and very dusty, the smell of dust lingered in the air.
Up we went, up and up, about 11 floors, commenting how unfit we are, and turned a corner into.... The smell of air freshener and errrr wooden floor could be seen.
We stopped in our tracks, this building had 60 or more apartments and this top floor was being lived in?
It was at this point we thought it best to leave, quietly yet quickly.
Steps, we could hear steps behind us, the noise of a door. We made haste to leave only to find as we finally got to the ground floor we had arrived at the wrong side of the mountain of scrap metal. We turned to search an alternative exit, we could see reception in front of us thru one of the many doors in front of us - oh a bank of cctv monitors with me on one!!
We turned and fled down another corridor to find the door we came in. Yes!
Errrr, no shit, a van had parked in front of this and I paused to check no one was in the van - Coast clear. I can hear steps coming.
Time to move, holy moly the gates where closing - these are gates of hell and once closed your not getting out. Run Rasputin!!!
We exited with a mere 2 seconds before the gates closed behind us and bolted to the car.
Hope you liked my first post, not my usual I had in mind, but photos from the phone on this little trauma
