Horton Lodge
Well I know how u guys like a residential so thought it time I shared this one. I think it fits the "architecturally interesting category"
As with most residentials I cant find much about this one other than the listing stating the property is a Farmhouse. Circa 1800 with later additions and alterations. Painted brick, slate roof and end stacks. 3 storeys; moulded eaves parapet; 3-window front, glazing bar sashes with segmental heads; central doorway with rectangular overlight and Tuscan porch with moulded entablature.
Im guessing this one was in probate or something as there was a lot of personal family items in here so we explored with greatest respect for everything & kept this place under the radar,
I will confess I didnt find this place, (as such) a fellow explorer told me of it but had forgot the exact location & was unable to get in when he first found it, a bit of research & I had it so next time I was in the area had to have a look & I will confess it was one of the more tricky accesses Iv made, but once in it didnt disappoint.
You would be forgiven for thinking that this place was still occupied from pics like this
But then the kitchen tells a different story & has been stripped of pretty much everything.
Speaking of personal info, these letters really tell a heart-breaking story of a different time!

Dear Tony
Because I find it very difficult to talk to you about us Im forced to write down in this note my feelings.
I know that you no longer respect me for Monday night & to tell you the truth neither do I
But please remember both of us wanted it to happen that's why I was not so upset afterwards because I believed we both loved each other. Now I can see what you must think.
But please dont suppose that any such thing ever happened between Martin & I, he can never mean as much to me as you do so consequently I would never allow it to happen.
There would be no love coming from my side in that situation.
I know what I have lost now & also know that I have brought all this on myself.
You have suffered too much at my hands and you know dont you that I regret that.
Im not asking for us to get back together again because its too late. We rushed things too much.
Maybe a 6 months wait would of been better.
Anyway please try to forgive me, you'll be very happy with Leslie if you try but please dont do what you threatened.
