Known locally as the Green School. Opened in 1876 and closed shortly after its centenary celebrations in 1977 when a new school was built. The outside toilet blocks have been demolished. It's been used as an antique storage centre for a while but has now been sold and may shortly be demolished as planning has been approved for more characterless new houses. :(

Yes; you would have thought that if the atrocious 'modern' brick extensions were demolished, the original structure could have been put to some 'community' use. Sadly looking at the site plans, new build space - hence profit, is even more limited if the old place is left in situ. Shame!
