Cars bits everywhere mainly Renault although this Citroen Ami and Simca Aronde ended there life's here, although no roads lead here anymore..

piles and piles of this stuff some of the powder was bright red but most of it this colour.. to touch it was finer than plaster..

it was shut so couldnt find anything else out but it did have a paramic view, but as it was misty all day so i didnt take pics..

Thanks for posting these - if you remember our paths crossed elsewhere as I love that area (you are a little west of my stamping grounds if I remember).

I've nailed the Chapel - eastern end of the Monts de Blond? Are the mines close by? The uranium mines I remember (and can find on a map) are near Ambazac, to the east.
 
yes do remember its just north of vaurly and can be seen on most maps just north on close up

will pm the exact location now, i love this way but not explored that much from your end :D we've found afew things within afew hours different stuff empty chateau's/WW2 bunkers and stuff, and now just purchased a camper as with the misses and 2 girls, it's abit hard exploring these places but i need fear no more :mrgreen:

yeah took me some time to actually find it on the map,

the actual mine you cant go down its full of water which is a shame but still great to have a mooch around, took us ages to find the mine building you'll see the tip of it in the trees when you first get in

that said there is ment to be lots of mines around here, i'm still searching for them :D
