Historical stuff that. When I left school I went to work as a blacksmith welder at Ashington Colliery in Northumberland. One day we were made to sit down and watch some safety films. Amongst they gory "don't weld your hand" films there were some black and white classics. How to prop a face, how to use a man rider etc etc. From what I can gather these films were simply thrown down the shafts with everything else when the colliery closed. Such a shame.
Interesting to see that. The main building looks a lot like the one at Navigation Colliery in Crumlin.
