I won't reel of the history as it turns out a_little_feisty went here within an hour of me leaving and has a comprehensive report up. So here a few arty pics the purist will hate! Water Eaton silo to follow!

Also, check out my justgiving page as I'm kayaking and running 110 miles in under two days for WWII vets! LINK

Anyone have an idea why both my new reports never showed up on the new posts feed?

That water tower is exactly the same design as the one I have just done at the military extension to Philipson sanitarium, Tranwell. The tower appears on the original RAF plans before the extension was built so it must be a standard design. Thanks for posting

Shame they cut the ladder otherwise I would have been up there in a flash!
