Another stop off with my mate on our day long adventure driving around fens, and lost little villages in the middle of nowhere.
A second visit for BG I had never been to or seen this cottage before. It did look alot healthier from Bg's last stop off.
A comical entry through 5ft nettles and brambles, and then crawling through a human sized door flap. Trust me to forget to bring a long sleeved top,. Still suffering today with nettle stung arms, cuts, and scratches. A place that has definitely seen better days, but lovely to see natural decay, and weather damage instead of vandalism and graffiti.
I'm not sure how long the ceiling is going to hold the rain filled bath for, or the tv set holding on for dear life in a bedroom. Just glad I won't be there when they finally come crashing down...

When I look at places such as this one, and then watch an old film that features a supposedly derelict building that has been 'dressed' with props to match the plot, I find it hard to tell the difference sometimes. Perhaps there are groups of scene dressers going around the country, finding unused empty buildings and filling them with items - so that urban explorers will not be disasppointed! MInd you, a quick look in my garden shed would provide a very similar feel. As for the covered side passage with shelves of 'recovered, saved' bits of timber, piping, angle iron - the list is a long one.
