Scans of photos taken some years ago of a very well hidden Vickers machine gun pillbox iin Surrey. One of several hidden away along the banks of the River Wey between Farnham and Godalming, some not recorded on the Defence of Britain Database [this one included].
The pillbox was in unvandalised condition and finished with concrete shuttering rather than the normal red brick as found on all of the others in this area.It is additionally unusual as its entrance [at rear] is protected by a fully enclosed porch rather than a detached blastwall with two ways in.
