Here's the history bit:-

This pathway was constructed by soldiers of 2nb Bn Royal Anglian Regt Dec 1968 - Aug 1969 The path provides access to the now derelict Rooke Battery and Hayne's Cave battery.

Eeeeeeeeek! Seeing that drop with the safety barriers all mangled made my toes squirm! :eek: :lol:
Very interesting photos. I love those cook house chimneys. :mrgreen: Such a pity the magazine is infilled with rubble.
