Ach, no idea, erosion due to wind? Shitload of flooding? Didn't realise this thread was as recent as it is

This thread has inspired me to check this place out at Brackenhirst nr Airdrie.
Been on my "must do" list for ages.

Apparently it's an old anti-aircraft gun emplacement.
Ideally situated to shoot those Heinkels out the sky on their way to Clydebank and Glasgow.
Can't see that its been done before on here.
If it has then someone please say and I wont bother posting the pics.
If not then I'll start a new thread with pics later today.

I found out yesterday that another Atlantic Wall has been discovered near Sudbourne in Suffolk, but it's well buried and the photos I got were inconclusive.

excellent find i love how the grass takes over!
For anyone who hasn't noticed yet, Google have recently improved the imagery on Google Earth in Scotland, I dunno about elsewhere. Anyway, this site is quite visible now.

Noticed that recently so I can now see my house, my workshop and the like in decent resolution a bit more up to date than on Flash Earth
