This explore was all a little last minute, but sometimes they can be the best. It was my first drain in Manchester, and seeing other reports on it, I knew it was on a different scale to any other sewer I had seen before.

Constructed of brick, it made a pleasant walk down to the first manhole chamber, which was very modern compare to the rest of the drain. As you walked further along, the sound of rushing water grew louder until you reached the interceptor. I've never seen anything like it before and the penstock gate was fantastic.

Cheers to Sneak for being our guide

On with the photos

mortaldecay was telling me earlier how it took him three hours to clone out all the poo in photoshop to make this appear a more desirable explore. You did a good job, great shots!

Great stuff.

I know just how hard it is to take good shots underground - doing these with the added bonus of poo-slip must have been challenging!

More please. :)
