Walbeck Wachturm / Watchtower - Germany

This was our consolation prize for turning up at Marienborn on a Monday.

But it turned out to be one of our favourite places of the whole trip. This watchtower overlooked a stretch of the 1,381 Km long Innerdeutsche Grenze / Inner German Border, separating East from West, Warsaw pact from NATO and Communism from Capitalism.

Sorry there aren't many photos, there wasn't really that much to photograph.
