I woke up this morning and felt like doing some exploring...so I did. I was heading out to Cheadle to see how the Barnes was going and to check out the Bleach Works. On the way I remembered the old Nurses Home at Cheadle Royal, I had spotted it on Google Earth and decided to see what the go was.
I arrived to find the place derelict and without security . There has been security in the past however, there was large steel plates covering all of the ground and first floor windows, but not every window .
Once inside I had a quick look around for squatters etc but found no one. I could tell there had been plenty of kids in there in the past, by the graf on the walls " Sign your name if you have smoked a cig in this room" dicks, lol!
Theres hardly any roof on the building but it suprisingly dry inside, there are also huge holes in floors and ceilings which were quite scary. The place is pretty much stripped except for the kitchen and radiators, plus a few hospital issue beds lying about. I found a door and some steps leading down to a cellar, but was too scared to check it out,on my own . Who knows might be a tunnel to the hospital, but I doubt it lol! As for this history of this place, I don't know anything except it was part of Cheadle Royal.
