Brackla 8xs - Bridgend Wales

Brackla in Bridgend was originally a Royal Ordnance factory and had 8 Underground bunkers built to store amuunitions, Known as the 8 X's. In the 60's 2 of the 8 X's were taken over by the Home Office and converted into Nuclear Bunkers to act as the Regional Government HQ for Wales. (RGHQ). The two nuclear bunkers were modified to have Nuclear Proof entrances and the ammunition tunnels changed to accomodation and offices.

It's an interesting place with a lot of wartime history to it. Thanks they came out alright even though my torches kept failing while in there

the amount of underground u do I thought u would have a decent torch lol

How bizarre those doors are at the entrance. Looks more like an incinerator than a bunker!

Diagram i had found online showing the tracks & ammunition bunkers/tunnels. Most are unfortunately filled in but would not be hard to dig them out to get in.
