By good chance I passed this and decided to give it a look. The whole place is for sale although I don't know long it has been on the market for. The site consisted of a barn, storage areas, and two terraced cottages. All together the total land is 22 acres and is on the market for £400,000!
There wasn't much left inside these cottages of any particular interest and one was missing its staircase, but I'll get to that later!
I managed to find a paper dating from 8th May 1980:
Making my way through the living room, I found a small square room, looking up I could see the upstairs landing and markings on the wall from where stairs used to be. By jumping I could barely get my hands on the upstairs floor. Looking up I could see some really nice wallpaper that I just had to get a photo of so looking around I built myself a platform and managed to haul myself onto the landing:
And it was all for this:
I fought my way through the weeds to the second cottage. This one was crammed with stuff, and actually had stairs!
The barn didn't have much in it and in hindsight I wish I hadn't gone in the upstairs room as it was host to two barn owls who I spooked when I entered. Unfortunately in all of the commotion I didn't manage to get a photo of either one:
Thanks for looking,
Rubex
