Simply the best photographic book I've EVER purchased. Worth every penny I spent on it. I simply just can't comprehend the sheer scale of dereliction in central Detroit. The ironic thing is the city cut it's own throat. They were making affordable cars so people could live in the suburbs, hence the city centre slowly de-populated and died.

It is expensive but in terms of sheer volume and quality of pictures it's worth the cash splash. The narrative that accompanies the pictures is also really interesting. It's the most expensive book I've ever bough but it truly is a book that you will keep coming back to.
