A lovely DERP I was taken to by a local explorer, whilst travelling in Kaliningrad

Built in 19th century this was the home of the Holst family in Parnehnen which at the time was in East Prussia. Who I am told regularly held outrageous adult parties. Hmmmm!

Seized by Adolf Hitler during the lead up to WW2 and the family sent to labour camp ( herr Holst being a strong opponent to AH ).

Nothing further is known about them nor its life in Soviet times other than the west wing was used as a post office and the central part as a library. The post office rooms were securely locked down both inside and out.
