Built in the second half of the 19th Century, the construction of this hospital was financed by the local mayor.
By the late 1940s the hospital had a capacity of 220 beds. It eventually fell foul of budget cuts and was scaled down over several years before finally closing its doors in 2011.
The usual metal theft throughout the building sadly - That and every redeeming feature has been smashed to oblivion by the local chav population.
Thanks for looking
