    Default Return to Hellingly!

Having been a week or so ago I recently discovered that a couple of friends had been meaning to go for ages so I took them, maybs a little soon to re-visit the same place but as its going to be demolished at some point this month (allegedly) I thought it best to get my fill! went under cover of darkness this time, which was, I must say, really spooky!, again no brushes with security although was much more difficult to get in, ended up climbing thru a thicket, and even more difficult to get out, having got ourselves very lost and disoriented (very easy to do considering the size and uniformity of the place) and couldn't find the window we got in thru so ended up wandering for a while as the torch batteries slowly drained and eventually found ourselves wandering through the brambles but alas managed it eventually so here are, again, a selection of the photos, bear in ind that I have lightend the shadows in these a lot, in many places even at dusk the place was pitch black!
enjoy, and I promise soon I will go somewhere other than Hellingly.....maybs in the morning!

lol not quite! my flash is rather powerfull but a combination of it being not quite dark and a bit of 'lighten shadows' in photoshop always helps

About us
DerelictPlaces is a forum for people with an interest in the history and documentation of disused, derelict and abandoned buildings to come together and share their experiences, photography and historical findings. Our military, industrial and historical heritage is fast disappearing under the pressure of regeneration, the need for new housing, and often through simple neglect; Our aim is to document these places before they disappear entirely.
