++Totnes. October 09. Mid-Late evening++

Well,after much research and external sneakage, Iv finally had the chance to check out the internals of the old Dairycrest site that keeps teasing me and enticing me to spend my dinnerbreaks wandering the outskirts of this fantasticly empty building,making mental notes of entry/exits,daily local activities in surrounding area etc, and this evening it was finally time for action.

Originaly opened for service in 1934 and operating and expanding until its closure in 2007,the majority of the site is a fairly modern stucture and it is this side of it all that we had a good ol' nose around this evening. The beginnings,and more historically rich side of the factory(as very well posted by another member on here- Clebby) are on the other side of a river that the site was built either side of as it expanded, which we didnt get to see tonight,but we will return to see the pumping stations!

But anyway,with the crunch of broken bulbs underfoot,the sound of startled pigeons in the rafters,and the sun going down, myself and a likeminded mate went to find out what was behind the towering corrugated walls that people walk past every day and maybe wonder themselves..

An evening well spent.

Doesnt look anywhere near as fun as the one in north bristol we used to play in as kids, and it certainly wasnt vandalised like that

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I'm hoping someone can help.

I'm trying to find information regarding who now owns the old Creamery, I contacted DairyCrest, left an answerphone message with whoever they transferred my call to, but I am yet to receive a reply. The person who did answer the call mentioned that they no longer own the place. But I'd like to get in contact with whoever does now.

Thanks,

-Z
