Hi All
me and a mate took a trip to the former RAF Hampstead Norris on Sunday afternoon.
RAF Hampstead Norris was opened in 1940 and closed down in 1945 it was part of 12 Grp fighter command.
The concrete and tarmac run ways are gone but many of the pill boxes and air raid shelters remain.
bellow are just a few pictures form the day if you want to see more go to

Below is a view from inside the pill box
the way in to one of many air raid shelters.
road way in the woods leading to the bomb dump.
One part of the bomb dump.
A Stanton air raid shelter
old grafiti on the inside of one of the Stanton shelters
Hope you enjoyed them, all comments welcome.
