Hi everybody
Well the two week holiday is here to enjoy, sitting by the pool, don`t think so ----------
After the EPIC fail of the Maginot line fort north of Metz it was time to get back on the road.
This time I only went an hour north of Dijon up to Langres and to the small village of Chanoy to visit a Fort but it was not possible to get in, no way, no how, Bloody French and
there dry ditches. So off to the nearby gun battery at Changey, now French ruins fall in to two camps,
1 - Those that have a road right up to the front door and
2 - Lost in woods (Not UK lost in woods but proper never to be seen again lost)
So after finding the battery in the woods, then finding a way over the deep dry ditch, then down in to the inner walkway ditch, only to find a k-in steel gate, which was proper locked,
oh well time to find another way in.
Hello there`s another gate.....
In we go, enjoy
Looking down from the first set of steps down in to the magazines themselves, deep and dark goodness.
The magazines run off on the right hand side and there are about 8 of them.
One great feature in this magazine complex is the well shaft and the well at the bottom.
Well that`s about it for La batterie well done for getting to the bottom, there are a few more pictures on my FlickR account so pop over to :-
