Big thanks to Brewtal for letting me know about this place. Its a real time capsule.
History
Brewtal already did an excellent history of this place, so I'll summarise.
The Explore
I set off nice and early on a Sunday morning, hoping not to bump into any local residents on my way in. There wasn't a soul around at this time of the morning, so no problems here. Apart from a having to wade through some brambles, it is fairly simple to get to.
So where do we begin with this house. The moment you step through the door its clear that this property has been truly forgotten and uncared for. Its been 21 years since Sidney died and it shows. The ceiling is slowly collapsing with roof tiles and insulation all over the floor.
Its fair to say however that it hasn't seen as much vandalism as I've come to expect to see, which is a refreshing relief.
It is quite sad feeling wondering round the house, its especially sad to see Sidney's ashes still sat on a shelf forgotten by his family.
This house wins the award for the most disgusting decorative feature I have encountered so far, a browny yellow shagpile toilet seat....someone thought that was a good idea apparently.

Externals
Externally its nothing amazing, its a 2 bedroom bungalow with a separate garage.
Internals
The ashes still sat on the shelf.
Good to know the NHS problems are nothing new.
The Masters place is a truly wonderful dive into the past, but a the overshadowing feeling of sadness is hard to escape.

- Owned by Sidney Hilton who died in 1996
- Sidney owned a coach building business in partnership with his brother
- Sidney was fairly wealthy judging from the mass of unpaid cheques scattered around.
