Red face Packington Hall Farm - October 2017

    Packington Hall Farm

Well hello its been awhile, finally started doing the backlog of this year as well as other work commitments and so on, I saw no point in not naming this place, its been broadcasted everywhere for years.
I had always wanted a quick look around here, an earlier this year I decided to swing by, it was all rather straightforward, even the barbed wire to keep out those "tresspassers" but either way it was easy to look around.
It seems no one really cares about this old farmhouse. Even passersby didn’t care I was taking photos of the outside, catching some lovely afternoon glow, with this place being on the market and off the market I just thought why not check it out as I was close by.

Inside you are greeted by loads of fireplaces almost one in every room, relatively dark inside due to some old boarding up, so light painting was a must until upstairs. Downstairs held some odd bits that caught my interest, medicines and alike the kitchen itself was a mess, someone before me drew a circle of washing powder with some odd markings, the table turned upside down an most smashed, I really couldn’t be bothered to clear this up, so few shots of the odd items and into the other rooms.

Upstairs held some beautiful light, some cabinets some papers the odds and ends really, but still rather photogenic, a newspaper was stuck to wall with red crosses over certain women, I wish I took a close up of this as it fitted the place well. A few beds in other rooms and some wonderful decay along with more fireplaces all in all I was glad to pay a little visit here.

It seems it was in use up until the 1970's but medicine dates ect was dated to the 1990's so who knows when it was officially abandoned for good, anyway folks enough with the chit chat, time to get on with the pictures!

Thanks for looking more on the way

It happens with every place but understand your mindset being first to see it decline, not much needed to restore it but think flats are on the cards :/

Welcome back stranger! :D Nice set of pics as always mate, great take on this place. I wasn't too far away from here recently but was driving back from Scotland and had somewhere else in mind. You got some great shots there, thanks for sharing!

About us
DerelictPlaces is a forum for people with an interest in the history and documentation of disused, derelict and abandoned buildings to come together and share their experiences, photography and historical findings. Our military, industrial and historical heritage is fast disappearing under the pressure of regeneration, the need for new housing, and often through simple neglect; Our aim is to document these places before they disappear entirely.
