Following on from the post about the ROC post under the bungalow, here's a few of the more 'unique' or interesting posts I've come across during my research. Wrote this a while ago and forgot to post it; hopefully some of the ROC fiends may find these interesting if you've not come across them before. I'm sure there are others which are somewhat different too, anybody got any good ones?

Edit: Removed pictures as SubBrit doesn't allow external linking :( Some of them you need to go to the second or third page to see the best pic.

This Post has been quarried and a cross-section of the monitoring room can be seen clearly showing the construction.

A ROC post with a bungalow built on top of it, now used as a cellar

This post has had the roof completely removed.

Not all posts were box-rooms underground in remote locations. This one used a cellar at Windsor Castle. No pictures though, I guess access is a little tricky!

Probably my favourite alternative use, this post has been partially exposed, a door fitted, and is now used as a wine cellar

Another post not built in an underground box; this one used the lower level of a wartime Martello Tower and had two FSM tubes.

Not very exciting but this one has been put to a more unpleasant use as a cesspit for a caravan site!

A ROC post with a window? - This one has been partially exposed and now used as a bird-watching hide.

A post that has fallen down the cliff.

That had me puzzled when first read, How can the Flying Spaghetti Monster be into ROC posts??

Yours, We need more beer volcanos and pirates..

A very interesting read. It's good to see then at least being used instead of demolished.
