This was our first proper video with our drone so the camera work is somewhat lacking. Near Sharpness in South Gloucestershire nearly 80 ships and barges where used to create a barrier to stop the bank of the river Severn eroding. the two ships out in the water where left after an accident where they hit the Severn Railway Bridge in fog on 25 October 1960. Two spans of the 22-span steel and cast iron bridge collapsed into the river. Parts of the structure hit the barges, causing the fuel oil and petroleum they were carrying to catch fire; five people died in the incident. not much of the railway bridge remains. during the flight out to the two barges in the water the controller signal for the drone died causing the drone to fly home automatically so we didn't get as close as we wanted to to the barges in the water (it also gave us both a heart attack as this was one of our first flights!)
