I saw a report for this place on 28DL and as it is literaly only 5 minutes from my house I thought it would be rude not to pop in for a nosey.
Nastech manufactured steering colums for the automotive industry, previously it was Torrington bearings.
I have worked in here myself during the nineties as a contractor and a couple of lads I work with now used to be employed there.
It shut down around 2000 / 2001 and has been empty ever since.
It is quite dark inside as a lot of the windows have been bricked up (they were done before it closed as they used to leak pretty bad).
There is not a lot left inside and it has been heavily trashed. The basement is flooded although it was flooded before it shut down.
Not a bad explore although I will pop back again for more pics as I didn't have a lot of time when I visited
Anyway here are some pics
Reception
Switch room
Upstairs offices
Factory floor
Flooded basement
