Hi, made my first UE visit the other day (so any tips would be a great help) to the old Gledow Grove Mansion building. It was a good experience and can't wait to visit more places. It was in such a bad state, quite unbelievable really how a listed building like that could be left to get into that sort of a mess. Access was challenging and not for the faint hearted. Would have liked to venture further into the cellar but due to not having any masks and asbestos being everywhere we decided it was best to leave.

Gledhow Grove Mansion was built in the 1830's by John Clark and Chapel Allerton Hospital was built in its grounds. The hospital was founded in 1927, to care for war casualties from World War I. In 1953 the hospital was transferred to the Ministry of Health and developed as a general hospital. In 1975 when the new hospital was built, all but the mansion was demolished.

Anyway here are the pics:

ye, don't suppose you can help me, I'm having a bit of trouble. I clicked on the Image button and entered the URL but nothing.

I see you've sussed it now.

I don't believe it. They've done such a good job boarding it and you have internal pics lol

Hope you can see all the pics i'm having a few problems sometimes they are there, other times they are not. Ye getting in took a while but we did manage to find one entrance, and what we found there assumed that other UE's use that way aswell. There should be 16 in total.
