Now I know you're all probably thinking "What? Another house?! Is he unwell?" but when your usual kind of explores are becoming more thin on the ground you tend to look to something a little different. I'm kind of slowly trying to wean myself back onto exploring abandoned houses, because when there are so many absolute belters out there right now I'd be snobbish and stupid to not poke my nose in and see what all the fuss is about. You still won't get me in a rural farmhouse though, that I still need to work on...
This particular house is one of the best I have seen anywhere, personally. It looks as if it was only vacated within the last few years, possibly due to subsidence - the whole middle of the house appears to be bowing internally and there are a couple of crazily warped floors.
After the less than subtle way in (for a Sunday afternoon!) I was a little on edge but soon relaxed as no mad neighbours came out to shout at us and we had a trouble free mooch around. I really hope this one stays relatively well looked after but sadly I fear it won't be long until it's a mess, there are already crappy kids tags in one of the outbuildings and given it's proximity to a large town, I can only hope someone will be watching over it.
I didn't take as many photos as I thought I did, but I think I covered all the good stuff. I didn't personally like this house as much as the Betamax House I explored a couple of months back, but I have to say I am slowly starting to enjoy derelict houses once more - when they are this good I can't complain.
Thanks for looking, more here https://www.flickr.com/photos/mookie427/albums/72157687350252395
