After looking at a few photos on this report you'll soon work out why I decided to name it Pigeon house! There was bird poo everywhere!
This house sits on the land of an old boat hire company right on the edge of the River Great Ouse and is situated on almost an acre of land, according to the property listing online. There used to be a large workshop/storage area that stood next to the house, but that has all been removed.
I didn't hang around long inside the property because I don't think breathing in whatever was floating around in the air for too long would have been very good for me.
Most of the downstairs floor boards had been removed which made walking around downstairs quite the balancing act - obviously someone took a fancying to the flooring:
I'm not sure whether the house has been trashed, or just decayed quite severely:
The front door which from outside was completely boarded up:
The curtains were still hanging in some rooms:
After walking around inside for quite some time looking for the stairs it finally clicked that this wasn't a house, but in fact two flats. So making my way back outside, I climbed the outside stairs and went into the upstairs flat. I was treading very carefully up here as I was completely unsure how sturdy the floor was.
Someone had left a piano behind:
Thanks for looking,
Rubex
