I think the site is in a state of regeneration,and hence forth a nighttime effort is probably the only way in.
It is nice to see such a gorgeous victorian folly,come back to life.All to often (given my years) I have seen great stately homes fall to their knees,and literally get raised to the ground,which given my penchant for statetly homes is a sad affair.But atleast we commoners can now walk our green and pleasant land with a free step.Or! is that really true?
God damn it! more poetry 'William Blake' this time.
And did those feet in ancient time
Walk upon England's mountains green?
And was the holy Lamb of God
On England's pleasant pastures seen?
And did the Countenance Divine
Shine forth upon our clouded hills?
And was Jerusalem builded here
Among these dark satanic mills?
Bring me my bow of burning gold;
Bring me my arrows of desire;
Bring me my spear; O clouds, unfold!
Bring me my chariot of fire!
I will not cease from mental fight,
Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand,
Till we have built Jerusalem
In England's green and pleasant land.
A bit to religious for my taste,but there I think the dark undertones to this great piece of poetry (read between the lines) stirs a cauldron of senses; a tear slips from my eye...
