As we all know, St Luke's was built in the 1870s and was used a workhouse initially, later evolving into a hospital, with more buildings added along the way. It housed many departments including physiotherapy, psychology, dentists, occupational therapy and a rehabilitation unit, to name a few..

After its closure in 2011,it hasbeen viciously attacked by greedy metal thieves leaving behind a building so scarred that not even pigeons will come in..it's only saving grace is the well- equipped boiler house..
