Many people associate different parts of Britain with a variety of landmarks. Any journey in the car with my father is usually peppered with: *adopts a serious, deep, headmasterly tone*
"That is where Roland Hill, inventor of the postage stamp is from" or
"Look it's Deepdale. I remember seeing Tom Finney score three in the sixth round replay of the F.A Cup at Bramall Lane"
For others, places have associations with club nights, gigs or college friends. For many folk on here, a signpost with Epsom, or Stannington has other meanings. Today’s visit to Hartlepool could only mean one thing.
This place is very nice indeed. It's slowly being demolished.
It was early morning when we arrived, and the chavs were still in bed.
Hats off to those chimney climbers. Very impressive going indeed. I stayed firmly on the rubble.
With it being on the beach, there is a nice "two for one" offer, with the main site...
...and the pier.
Even Gaz.M enjoyed it here.
Time for a couple more snaps of the open air swimming baths.
I can whole heartedly recommend a visit here. A visit at the right time of day, you'll love it. No monkeying around mind.
