The 1896 Callemeyn barracks

A long time ago we allready planned to do a whole urbex weekend to visit some nice locations.
So we chosen to do that in the Easter-weekend (Urbex et Orbi)

So Martino ( http://www.flickr.com/photos/martino_ ) and myselve get up early to enjoy a good weekend with sun, beer, bbq and great locations.
The first location, which wasn't even on our list, are these abandoned barracks in the south of Belgium.
Most of the barracks are allready reconverted into appartment blocks, but a few still standing abandoned.
Trashed, but still could take a few nice shots.

Build in 1896, and abandonded exactly 100 years later in 1996.

Nice shots indeed! Love the b&w exterior pic...lots of lovely soft colours and peeling paint too.
It looks like a very interesting location.

Yet again Bart anither great find. Very atmospheric photo's. Love the last one with the light coming through the open doors. Nice one
