A nice wintery jaunt down to the Wern Works site located not far out of Swansea.
I have visited this site a couple of times in the past few years and its amazing to see the decline in the state of the site.
I've been exploring South Wales frequently over the past few years but I'm just starting to get into the photography side. Hope you enjoy :)

I couldn't find out much info on the site but judging by the cards left on site it was last occupied by NX infrastructure. Judging by the planner on the wall it was last occupied in 2009.

Wern Works

The seven-acre plant, which has been empty since 2011, has been home to many businesses since it was first used by High Duty Alloys in the 1950s.
Briton Ferry West councillor Hugh James said: "It started off as High Duty Alloys in the late 1940s, early 1950s. It was one of the plants of Briton Ferry following the iron and steelworks, there was a lot of industry in those days.

"The interesting thing is that they made parts of Concorde there, things like the exhaust parts. Since the 1990s two or three companies have come and gone too."

Photo that looks to show the works in better days.

A bit of controversy in the bogs...

Thanks for looking.

Welcome along.
Its amazing that a wall planner can outlast some of the walls / ceilings!
Thanks for sharing :)
