Not sure if this one has been covered on here before.
I'd heard a rumour about this a few years back but couldn't find out anything about it.
Then one day I saw this;
http://maps.live.com/default.aspx?v...dir=0&alt=-1000&phx=0&phy=0&phscl=1&encType=1
So since it was such a nice morning, I thought I'd go up and take a look for myself.
View from the road
Do those look like bullit holes to anyone?
This was the biggest building. Very secure even now. Possibly storage for ammo?
Round the side.
Round the back.
Entrance to main area where guns were.
I think those wooden things were for storing shells.
Either that or a lot of french bread!
There are 4 of these buildings arranged in a circle.
Not a great picture of the long flat building.
Someones been here for lunch. Did they have tupperwear in the 40's?
So there you go. Don't know an aweful lot about it.
Perhaps someone on here will?
It's just off Brackenhirst Road near Glenmavis, Airdrie if you fancy a visit.
Cheers
