This place has bugged me for a very long time...until now! day off work permitted me to go and have a look for a way in... after looking for ways in through out the rain... bearing in mind this is an old Quarry with rocks that would sure to rip you apart if you fell... no guesses what i did? i only fell like 8 feet... but i was in the area so i couldnt give a hoot! (no injures - )
for you flash link whores clicky
just that view of it sitting there always made me think... i want to stand there!
the cliff wall - walk off that top edge and your in trouble!
the moment i touched down onto the quarry floor... (well brambles! they are every where)
been a very long wait but its been worth it!
door way to one of the shooting points... (there are 2 of these right beside each other with a room in between each other)
unfortunately the sea salt in the air and the constant battering by the weather has rusted the metal shutters thru totally on this one - as seen in the next next pictures
following on from the message above... but atleast its not been chaved!
the other side of the badly rusted windows...
the room in between the too shooting points (did once have a roof - you can see it on the walls ) i do like there tree in the room
the better shutters in the more covered area - also this one is very clean apart from the odd bit of rubble and dust...
in the search Op building - the wooden doorway - note it hasnt rotted thru?! (one of 3 - highest one up) info coming from Badoosh and K.E.F - used to be on the look out for subs etc during the war time)
made me chuckle... i found 2 golf balls inside the little building... there is a golf course about 500 yards away... bloody good shot if you asked me
rusting away old water pipe... - just come off the phone to Badoosh - he said that this mite not be a water pipe after all more than likely a cable wire for the mines... im sure when he manages to look over it him self he will be able to state what it is...
the outer wall showing signs of crumbling/rusting
sneaky shot of Fort Bovisands...
2 Navy ships - i swear they was watching me as there was a police boat floating around with in 30 minutes of me being there
2nd of the search op buildings (too risky to go over due to live diving site and strong waves crashing around)
and the 3rd of the search buildings... this one unfortunately is the one my dad was given orders to take down with TNT due to being unsafe with kids and fellow urbexers climbing around - not saying he likes to blow up old buildings with a meaning... but it was the old owner of fort bovisands
and last but not least (save the best till last eh? ) me after i survived the bramble hell! and the British weather!
@ Badoosh and TTW - if you want to take a wander over here do the normal mate and message me ill be your tour guide this time
