Seen a few people doing this and thought I'd jump on the bandwagon
2015...what a year! I've learnt so much, met so many cool people and been to so many awesome places!
In no particular order here's my best moments and splores of 2015 narrowed down to 20 of the best...it's gonna be tough:
No.1 Jameah: Freaky as hell inside. We had a walk around the outer wing and saw the chapel, but legged it after hearing lots of voices upstairs. We spoke to a dude outside and asked if we could take some externals. He declined.
No.2 Bunker B: Back in the days when Chris (darkhole) was still with us and not dead...ermmm I mean not married Ace explore through and through.
No.3 Deep Shelters (all of them!): Ok there are tons of them, but kiss my corn chute because I'm putting all of them! They're well on the trodden tourist trail, but they'll always be awesome explores!
No.4 Thamesteel: Biggest industrial explore I've ever done. Doing it at night was...interesting, especially when being pursued.
No.5 Darnet Overnighter: One of our more daring explores! Best night's sleep I've ever had out. Got a solid 8 hours before we paddled back in the morning!
No.6 Getting Pinched by this Smelly Sod: Hilarious
No.7 Haslar: Hands down best hospital I know of. Many thanks to The Vampiric Squid. I couldn't have done it without his help. Big laughs giving the Police and Brian the run around.
No.8 Burlington House: She's on her way out now. She was my first rooftop and as such has a special place in my heart Wish I could have stood on her just one more time...
No.9 Fort B: Love this place. Muddy fun! Met my good chum Konrad here for the first time in February and he showed us around.
No.10 St.Pete's Morgue: My first morgue! Flooded and full of squatters!
No.11 Bellboy's: Lots of the outer buildings are gone now Good times.
No.12 Factory Air Raid Shelters: A real gem.
No.13 The Annex Rooftop: My first London explore and second rooftop! Big ups! Getting chased by inept Indian security guards was worth it!
No.14 Konrad's Return: Me and Konrad were skulking around town and Santa sent us a couple of nice Coppers. Some really drugged up, heartbroken dude turned up too and I gave him a left back home
No.15 Town Air Raid Shelter: Jewel of a place and a mad dash to get our shots and get out!
No.16 The Tower Battery Overnighter: Our first sleep over at a derp! The sounds of the waves in the night and the ambient glow of industrial areas made for a very serene experience.
No.17 QE2: Up there with Haslar...really really really cool place! Bumped into tons of different people.
No. 18 The Transporter Bridge: This one was super chilled and a great way to kick off a night of skulking up North.
No.19 The Drive By: Driving prickly_buzz's Nan's old car about and getting chased by a Land Rover! Legendary!
No.20 SB's Tunnels: Top splore! Biggest underground place I've ever done!
Honourable Mention: Big Barry: Getting pinched by this fellah was hilarious. One minute he was angry and calling us c***s, the next he was kind of alright Barry, if you're out there, you're a legend!
I could list more, I really could...but I don't want to bung up the forum and bore you all Big ups to the forum, big ups to everyone I met last year and big ups to prickly_buzz and Konrad for providing research, help, encouragement, good company, fuel money, drinks, nibbles and LULz!
Thanks for looking,
SJ.
