I do not really have much to report on this site. It closed around 2007 and since has had a few planning consents placed against it. Looking at some archives I could only find records dating back to 1914 and nothing prior to this, there isn’t much archive material at all.
Located in the quaint village Rhydtalog – the local pub would have been central to this community. It now lays in a state of disrepair.

The building has also taken a beating with water damage, damp, and probably ran sacking.
The cellar looks as if it could still serve a pint today!

There is no warmth left in this heater or the environment.

The Chef would have performed his duties in what would have been a good kitchen with top notch extraction

Upon arriving home (within 10 minutes) I had the Police knocking on my door asking what my business was at the Pub. A local appears to have mistaken my tripod for a crowbar. After showing my pics to the PCW they kindly went on their way – my first encounter with the old bill in this nature. They were very nice and understanding. The wife on the other hand ……………

I will raise a glass tonight to this old place - interesting venue, but sad to see it like this.......
