Thames pillboxes in the snow

Not to be outdone by fluffy and his pillboxes I visited a few near me that were covered in snow.




First couple are of the one just along from Fairmile hospital got to by walking down a bridleway




Second two are almost opposite the last and are on the North Stoke side of the Thames.
The bank is getting undercut by the river but today it is in flood so can't be seen.
You can see why winter is teh best time to find these as in the spring and summer you can
hardly see this one




Last my favourite the boathouse with the Thames looking cold and unforgiving

I thought of doing the same! It was far too cold to do the walk I would've had, though!

Nice call, i had the same idea and went and got a few shots at the Neston Pillbox on the Wirral
