Im guessing you know this one, but here's my take on our "interesting" visit!
The history is well covered in other reports so I wont go into it.

A bit late to the party on this one but its pretty timeless (like the St Josephs of the industrial world) so knew it wasn't going anywhere. We wernt planning doin doing this, but were in the area so thought we should pop in for a look.

Our visit went swimmingly through the superb tipping docks & finding our way into the ever increasingly more difficult main pump house. From here we could see security so had everything under control, but were slightly concerned by the amount we were seeing... High viz vests everywhere!
Then it occurred to us that a lot of the Hi viz we were seeing were in fact people on tours :D unfortunately this cut our visit rather short as they were heading towards the building we were in!
Moral of the story dont try this in the middle of a a Sun afternoon!

How we got out of here without getting caught again remains a mystery but a return visit to cover rest of the site is deff in order. I did love what we got to see so have a lot of pics for u from this one.

Great set of photos, looks like you saw a fair amount despite the tour group. The various winding houses are well worth the effort if you go back. :)
