Hi All
Day 2 full on trip.
The Del Rio dam is way up in the hills to the south east of Tenerife, construction started in the early 20C this went right up until the 1960`s,
the dam, which is about 54 meters high and 113 meters long, was never put into operation.
Looking on a website about this location it said you need a proper 4x4 to get there (Hold my beer) wait till the end.
I was very amazed when I got to the base of the dam that you can get inside and look through all 3 levels.

Oh yummy a dark hole in to a derelict dam.
How inviting on a roasting day.
Down the first set of stairs and in to the second level.
Looking down the last set of steps to the bottom level.
Right down in the bottom level some of the pipes and pump equipment still exists.

Wait - there`s more.
So from just off the main road where "normal" people park then walk the 2 plus miles to the dam, I thought F*** that - hold my beer after all it`s a bloody
hire car, I made it to within 200m to the surface building.
