Me and Sausage found this and decided to have a visit. Wasn't sure which forum to put it in as it is a quarry but it is not underground.

Not a huge quarry, just a typical small one found in many places around this area. But there were a few buildings left standing. Heres a few pictures anyway, not really amazing as there wasn't any machinery.

It was a nice unexpected find at the end of a good day out.

Nice pics BigLoada. :) It was really good finding that place. Lucky too. It finished off a mega exploration day.
It looked as if they quarried a sort of loose sandstone and crushed it into basic sand for construction. I was particularly amazed at how things like receipt books and clothing was simply left behind as if they were coming back the next day.
