Well there ain't much to say really this was my first major explore other than Colthrop paper mill and the derelict houses near there. But i can honestly say it was a very enjoyable day and has made me want to do some more exploring
Oh and sorry about the picture quality i haven't got a decent camera and the pictures taken on my phone the quality was inconsistent
I'm sure you all know the place but if not here is some history courtesy of Wikipedia
RAF Station Greenham Common is a former military airfield in Berkshire, England. The airfield is located approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) south-southwest of Thatcham; about 50 miles (80 km) west of London
Opened in 1942, it was used by both the Royal Air Force and United States Army (later Air) Force during World War II and the Cold War. After the Cold War ended it was closed in 1993.
The airfield was also known for the Greenham Common Women's Peace Camp held outside its gates in the 1980s.
My favourite picture got to say this is one of the most unusual places i have had my lunch
it also shows the sheer size of the place.
Found this quite funny
