The beehive pub

Some of my daughters pics of one of our finds this was a lovely pub and bought back some memories..The Beehive was once a vibrant pub with an excellent walled beer garden at the rear. However, competition from both town and country pubs has meant that most customers seek out alternatives.it was in a bit of a state but nothing compared to some of the places we have been too! All the bar was still in tact and it had such a beautiful fireplace..enjoy the pics

If you are ever near Oxford, the recently re-opened Lamb and Flag pub should be worth
a visit. A victim of the Covid pandemic, it has been refurbished (not to much, I hope) and
taken over by "a community group". That it is in Oxford, and had close connections with
CS Lewis, JRR Tolkien and Thomas Hardy mark it out as being not your ordinary boozer.
Another old Oxford pub The Eagle and Child appears still to be closed, its future uncertain.
